Summer is generally the season that everyone looks forward to. But running in the heat can quickly turn out to be a real challenge and slow down your training. One of the golden rules in summer is to plan your runs early in the morning or in the evening. Do not forget to put on sunscreen and especially to hydrate yourself well . 4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT RUNNING OUTFIT IN SUMMER
1. FORGET COTTON!
Your clothes and shoes can greatly influence the success of your running training. Running soaked in sweat and “overheating” because of a sports outfit not adapted to the weather, can quickly turn your run into a nightmare.
So always keep in mind that cotton and warmth don’t mix ! Why ? Quite simply because the cotton will absorb and retain perspiration… And admit that it is rather unpleasant to have a wet garment that sticks to your skin! Good running shoes will be your best allies during your run. This is a very personal choice but once you find the right fit – you can say it! – you will not be able to do without it. The right running shoes will facilitate each of your strides and give you the necessary momentum while adapting to the shape of your foot. When shopping for shoes, consider several factors such as the surface you run on most often.: asphalt, forest paths or treadmill? How often do you train and how far? Do you have a specific goal in mind? Also remember to adapt your running shoes according to the weather, temperatures or the elevation of your course.
